What We Didn’t Do

  • Technical SEO: For this client, we didn’t focus on technical SEO. Their site was fast and relatively new, and didn’t need our support.
  • Product Pages and Collections: At this time and in this industry, product and collection pages didn’t rank as well as informational pages, so our energy went into creating blogs.
  • Content Scaling: We didn’t increase the number of blog posts we wrote over time. Many SEOs make this mistake – they see blogs working, then “double down” and flood the site with repetitive or irrelevant content that hurts long-term results. After the first year, our strategy shifted to updating existing content, with 10% new content to keep things fresh.
